One thing that all businesses have in common is payroll. Payroll processing requires a variety of payroll records, all of which must be kept. The period of time that records must be kept is vary for each type of record.

Every year, payroll departments submit and receive hundreds of thousands of pieces of data. Data from the employee master file, including name and social security number, employee forms like the Form W-4, IRS reports like the Form 941, state quarterly returns for unemployment insurance, dates of employee termination, and even child support withholding orders.

This webinar will review record retention requirements by agency.  Special record retention concerns will be reviewed such as how to handle records during a merger or acquisition.  Legislative updates will be reviewed along with common errors employers make that can cause your company money.
